I'm Tarsh, award-winning Brisbane newborn photographer and northside local. I've been photographing newborns for over 15 years and worked with more than 1,600 Brisbane families. The Gap families make up a big part of my northside bookings and I love working with this community.
Newborn Photography for The Gap Families
My private indoor/outdoor studio in Bunya is purpose-built for newborn sessions. It's warm, quiet and set up so that from the moment you arrive, the only thing you need to do is relax. I take care of everything else.
Sessions are completely baby-led. We work around your baby's feeds, settling and cuddle needs with no time pressure. There's a comfortable space for you, a play area for older siblings and all the props, wraps and setups ready to go. You bring your baby. I bring everything else.
What to Expect at Your Newborn Session
The best time for newborn photography is between 7 and 14 days after birth. Babies are still sleepy and curled at this stage, which is when you get those beautiful, tucked-up portraits. If you're already past that window, get in touch. I photograph babies at all stages and we'll work out what's right for your little one.
Sessions run two to three hours and include family photos, individual baby portraits and sibling shots. You'll come back for a private viewing appointment to choose your favourite images before anything is paid for.
Booking Your The Gap Newborn Session
The earlier you book, the better your choice of dates. Northside sessions fill fast between September and February. A $99 Starter Pack secures your date and covers your session, all the pre-session planning and your first digital file. You choose your collection after you've seen your photos.
