I'm Tarsh, award-winning Brisbane newborn photographer and northside local. I've photographed more than 1,600 families over the past 15 years and I've watched Upper Kedron grow from a quiet pocket into one of Brisbane's most exciting young family communities. So many new homes, new babies and new families, and I love being the photographer this neighbourhood is discovering.
Newborn Photography for Upper Kedron Families
My private indoor/outdoor studio in Bunya is warm, calm and built around giving you and your baby the best possible start to your newborn session. Everything is set up before you arrive. You walk in, settle in and leave the rest to me.
Sessions are completely baby-led. No rushing, no rigid schedule. We work around feeds, cuddles and settling because that's how you get the photos that genuinely capture those first few days. I don't book back to back so your session has all the breathing room it needs.
What to Expect at Your Newborn Session
The ideal time for newborn photography is between 7 and 14 days after birth. Babies are still curled and sleepy at this age, which is when those beautiful, peaceful portraits happen. If your baby has already arrived and you haven't booked yet, get in touch. It's rarely too late.
Sessions run two to three hours and cover family photos, individual baby portraits and sibling shots. You'll view your images at a private appointment and choose your favourites before any collection is paid for.
