A little guide to help you feel prepared and relaxed
Its that time of the school term that I love! The kids are winding down assignments, school holidays are looming and the Intuitive Mummas group photoshoot is on!
I’m Tarsh, a full-time professional photographer based in Bunya. I've been in busienss for 14 years now photographing thousands of Brisbane babies and families and in that time I have won a few awards for both my photography and service.
My style is warm, relaxed, and centred on helping mums feel seen, supported, and comfortable in front of the camera. Nothing makes me happier than capturing those small, everyday moments that turn into the big memories later.
I’ve been photographing the end-of-term photos for Intuitive Mothers Everton Park for almost two years now, and in that time I’ve captured hundreds of mums and bubs.
It’s such a privilege to step into a space created by another small business that genuinely loves, supports, and champions mums during such a vulnerable, transformative season.
Being part of that feels pretty special.

For most of the families I photograph, the very first question is "What do we wear?"
The very best part of these sessions is that you don’t need to dress a certain way. Truly. These photos are about connection far more than clothes. No special trips to the shops required (I mean, unless you need an excuse... then by all means take this as your sign!)
So if you’d like a few simple tips to help things look a little more polished on camera, here are some gentle suggestions that can make a lovely difference.
1. Avoid baby jumpsuits with open leg holes
This one is simply practical. Those adorable rompers have a habit of letting nappies sneak into view. If bub is wearing a jumpsuit, popping a little pair of shorts, a skirt, or bloomers over the top just keeps things neat and tidy in photos.
2. Plain colours photograph beautifully
Patterns can be fun, but simple block colours feel soft, calm, and timeless on camera. For both mums and babies, plain tones help keep the focus on your faces, your connection, and that gorgeous bond you share.
3. If your baby is a drooler, choose fabrics that don’t show wet patches
Some fabrics darken quickly when damp, especially colours like grey marl and pale blue. If your little one is extra dribbly right now, choosing a fabric that stays the same colour when wet can help keep their outfit looking fresh throughout the session.
4. And please remember you can absolutely wear whatever you like
These are your photos and your memories. There’s no pressure to match, coordinate, or dress up. Come as you are, in whatever feels comfortable and like you. These tips are simply here if you want a bit of gentle guidance.
5. The real magic is in the connection
The truth is that the most beautiful part of these sessions isn’t the outfit.
It’s the way your baby melts into you, the way you instinctively hold them close, and the way you look at them without even realising you’re doing it.
These little moments become incredibly precious with time. The days can feel long, but the months truly are short, and these photos will mean more than you can imagine later on.
You bring the cuddles. I’ll bring the camera.
Together we’ll capture the kind of memories your future self will be so grateful for.
